While straight-line acceleration isn’t great, both engines are energetic when driving from spotlights and at city speeds. The EcoSport does well driving at city speeds.

When it comes to braking, the brake pedal featuring on the front-drive titanium version felt completely solid, and did the job well.

The SE improves with heated front seats to warm up on chilly winter days, a sunroof to enjoy warm summer days, a power driver’s seat, satellite radio, rear parking sensors, and an easy-to-use touchscreen infotainment system including Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility.
The all-wheel-drive will set you back $1500 an added option, but it changes the standard three-cylinder engine for the four-cylinder alternative, so it is worth the money.
